It may go unnoticed by the rest of us, but parents have long made the "right school" the heart of their home buying decisions. Toronto Life's September issue features lying, cheating and debting parents who contrive to get their kids in at all costs. If you are going public, getting into the right school usually means getting into the right neighbourhood. One that makes parents salivate? Jackman Avenue Public School in the neighbourhood of Playter Estates.
So is scholastic betterment always a move away? A visit to the Toronto District School Board's website will let you know what school serves your area. So far, so good. But future residents of mintoSkyy at Broadview Avenue and Pottery Road are being warned that nothing is guaranteed.
