Promenade is a new condominium project by Icon Developments at the corner of Warden Avenue and Danforth Avenue.  Icon's marketing campaign for Promenade On The Danforth, "a new direction on the Danforth," is notable for its geographical disorientation:

The vibrant Toronto Beaches to the south.  The multicultural buzz of the Danforth to the east.  Dramatic ravine lands and tranquil parks to the north, and the Scarborough Bluffs to the west.  Located at the core of a vibrant and evolving neighbourhood, Promenade on the Danforth brings a brand new perspective to extraordinary urban living.

Readers are advised to pull out maps and verify directions prior to setting out.

The campaign also brings to mind Urmi's recent post on the questionable branding of Toronto neighbourhoods.  While the new condominium is definitely on Danforth Avenue, it is a far stretch (6 km or 7 subway stops to be exact) from 'The Danforth' neighbourhood.  Promenade is actually close to the Danforth Village business improvement area and is in the Toronto neighbourhood of Oakridge (see Realosophy's Oakridge neighbourhood profile for local school and housing stats).

But marketing campaign aside, Promenade does offer HomeBuyers some affordable options.  One-bedroom condos range from $165K to $196K and two-bedroom condos range from $243K to $470.  All suites have 9 feet ceilings and any condo over $209,900 receives a free parking spot.
